An int'l pilot in her previous life & a proud Corsican, you'd never find a more passionate host in assuring that her guests get the fullest experience. Centrally located in Bastia, her apt is v. comfy, superclean & has a beautiful view + has wifi,. She's the only host who goes out of her way for guests: she picks up & drops off guests from & to the port or airport.She'll find you a room if she's full; she even drove us around other towns sightseeing after work or between her lessons or on a day off & gives history & interesting stories.She enjoys sitting down w/you @ BF& chat to get to know you better. She's a great source of eats,best family owned ice cream parlor, all activities w/in the island & so forth. She'd even help you find another b&b in other towns, rent boats,cars, camping sites,& everything you could think of.She's well connected. knows everyone& vice versa She runs an English social club, the only one I've ever heard of in France, where she takes you out w/ her adult students( learning English) to a wonderful typical Corsican meal w/great local wines & we found this to be a terrific way of meeting locals-they were all so,so jovial that time flew & we did not want the evening to end.She boasts about her luck in getting only the best guests but it's only true because you end up loving her the minute you meet her. People return just to be w/her, I'm one of them.

Review from Tom (Vietnam) Marie Dominique's apartment is bright and warm and welcoming - great views and easy stroll to centre ville - marie actually met me at the 6am ferry which was exceptional service - ske was so very welcoming and was quick to offer assistance with directions and onward bookings - a great cook - a tough French teacher but if you survive the "immersion" you will be fluent in a few days - impressionnant Marie - merci beaucoup :).
